Hilary Duff has been scheduled to release a greatest hits album on September 23 (release date subject to change) titled The Best of Hilary Duff. This compilation will mark the end of the artist’s contract with music label Hollywood Records. The album will feature new tracks such as Reach Out and Holiday along with Hilary Duff’s previous hits. A bunch of rumors related to Hilary’s music career have been making their way on the internet. Before reading the following, I would like to remind everyone that these are rumors. They may or may not be true - nothing has been confirmed.

According to WalMart’s Future Releases & Hilary Duff Italy - Hilary will be releasing a “Best Of” album scheduled for September (somewhat like “Most Wanted”). Another rumor that fits in & facilitates this is that Hilary may be dropping out of working with Hollywood Records & may sign on to RCA. This may have been caused by contract & perhaps personal disputes that Hilary had with Hollywood Records (delay in releasing “Reach Out”, control over artistic direction etc).

Hilary Duff’s new single - Reach Out (produced by Ryan Tedder, sampling Depeche Mode) is scheduled to release in August. The single has been remixed by Joe Bermudez, Richard Vissions etc. Joe sent out an email clarifying that the “remix clip” that leaked out recently was NOT Joe’s. More news will be posted soon - so stay tuned!

Joe Bermudez, who previously remixed “Stranger”, “With Love”, “Come Clean” & many more Hilary Duff hits has completed his remix of Hilary’s upcoming single “Reach Out” (which she also performed live at the “Dignity Tour 2007-2008″) sampling Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus”. Joe has confirmed and has also said that he is happy with the way the single has come out. Quoting Joe:
“The label hasn’t told me an exact release date yet. My mixes came out really nice though and I am excited to get them out there. I am probably going to World premier the Dub on my new radio show next month. I should be posting a clip soon and will let you know. When I am getting ready to post it, I’ll try to let you know so you can get the jump on everyone.”

Many of you might have heard about “Reach Out” - Hilary even performed it at the Dignity Tour 2007/08. The track has now been confirmed as Hilary Duff’s next single! Hilary will be shooting a VIDEO for it in the upcoming weeks, and the song is set to premiere late June / early July. The track has been produced by Ryan Tedder (lead singer of band “OneRepublic”, who also produced “Gypsy Woman” for Hilary). Stay tuned for more updates on Hilary’s music!
